ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have signed another player to a future contract.

A day after signing six players to future deals, the Broncos signed defensive end Marquiss Spencer to a future contract.

Spencer, whom the Broncos selected in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft, spent much of the season on Denver's practice squad and appeared in one game. Spencer was a two-year starter at Mississippi State who totaled 106 tackles, 22.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks and three forced fumbles in 51 career games.

Spencer will be added to Denver's 90-man roster when the 2022 offseason officially begins.

Denver previously signed TE Shaun Beyer, RB Damarea Crockett, WR Travis Fulgham, T Drew Himmelman, G Zack Johnson and LB Barrington Wade to future deals.

The Broncos on Tuesday also activated tackle Calvin Anderson and cornerback Nate Hairston from the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
