ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have promoted cornerback Kevin Toliver II from the practice squad to the active roster, the team announced Thursday.
Denver did not need to make a corresponding roster move, as they placed tight end Jake Butt on injured reserve earlier this week.
Toliver, who played 27 career games for the Bears in 2018-19, signed with the Broncos' practice squad in late September. He was elevated to the game-day roster for the team's game against the Buccaneers in Week 3.
Toliver has totaled 29 career tackles and four passes defensed. In 2018, he played for Head Coach Vic Fangio as Fangio served as the Bears' defensive coordinator.
