ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Two days after linebacker Josey Jewell suffered a pectoral injury against the Jaguars, the Broncos have placed their starting linebacker on injured reserve.
Jewell, a fourth-year player, had started the Broncos' previous 18 games.
He tallied eight tackles, one pass defense and a forced fumble in two games this season.
Jewell suffered the injury making a special teams tackle.
Former fifth-round pick Justin Strnad is expected to replace Jewell in the starting lineup.
