ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos will be without another tight end for at least a few weeks.
Denver placed tight end Jake Butt on injured reserve on Tuesday, the team announced.
Butt suffered a hamstring injury ahead of the Broncos' Week 7 game against the Chiefs and has not played in each of the team's last two games.
Butt must remain on injured reserve for three games before he is eligible to return to the active roster.
Denver previously placed tight end Andrew Beck on injured reserve ahead of Week 8. Nick Vannett is also battling an injury, as he hurt his foot against the Chargers.
Noah Fant and Albert Okwuegbunam led the Broncos' tight ends in offensive snaps in Week 8 against the Chargers.
Butt, who has battled back from three ACL injuries, appeared in five games to begin the season and had two catches for 5 yards. He also contributed on special teams.
