ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have elevated tackle Quinn Bailey from the practice squad to the active roster as a COVID-19 replacement, the team announced Saturday.
Under NFL protocols, teams are permitted to elevate a player from the practice squad to the active roster if a player on the active roster has been placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
Denver placed center Lloyd Cushenberry III on the Reserve/COVID-19 list earlier in the week, and Austin Schlottmann is expected to start at center in his absence.
Bailey has appeared in four games in his NFL career, and he earned a game ball after he played 39 snaps against the Chargers in Week 12 as he filled in for an injured teammate.
