ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — A pair of Broncos players have returned to practice ahead of Week 7.

Denver has designated right tackle Mike McGlinchey and outside linebacker Baron Browning for return from injured reserve, the team announced Tuesday.

The Broncos also released inside linebacker Kristian Welch and waived defensive back Tanner McCalister.

Both McGlinchey and Browning participated in the media-viewing portion of Tuesday's walkthrough and started the 21-day window in which they must be activated to play in 2024.

Both players are eligible to be activated to the 53-man roster for Thursday's Week 7 game against the Saints. If either player is not activated within the 21-day window, he will revert to injured reserve for the remainder of the season.

Each team is able to designate eight total players for return over the course of the season. Even if a player is not activated, he will count toward a team's eight-player limit once he is designated for return.

Browning and McGlinchey were both placed on injured reserve after suffering injuries during Denver's Week 2 game against the Steelers.

Browning recorded five tackles and a tackle for loss in his 58 defensive snaps this season.

McGlinchey played 100 percent of Denver's offensive snaps in Week 1 against Seattle.
