ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Denver has added to its inside linebacking corps.

The Broncos have been awarded linebacker Barrington Wade off waivers from the Ravens, the team announced Saturday.

Denver waived wide receiver Warren Jackson in a corresponding roster move.

Wade is a 6-foot-1, 232-pound rookie from Iowa who signed with the Ravens after going undrafted.

The Illinois native appeared in 33 career games for the Hawkeyes and recorded 23 tackles, one sack, 1.5 tackles for loss and two interceptions.

Wade could provide depth as linebackers Josey Jewell (groin) and Justin Strnad rehab from injuries. Third-round pick Baron Browning (lower leg) remains on the Physically Unable to Perform list.

Jackson, a Colorado State alum, signed with the Broncos as an undrafted rookie earlier this year.
