ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have acquired OLB Stephen Weatherly in a trade with the Vikings, the team announced Saturday.
Denver will also receive a 2023 seventh-round pick in exchange for a 2022 seventh-round pick.
The Broncos placed ILB Micah Kiser on injured reserve in a corresponding roster move.
Weatherly, a former seventh-round pick, has appeared in 64 games and started 16 during his six-year NFL career. His best season came in 2018, when he started six games and recorded 35 tackles, three sacks, six tackles for loss and eight quarterback hits.
He has six sacks, two forced fumbles, 93 tackles, 15 tackles for loss and 20 quarterback hits during his career.
Through six games in 2021, Weatherly has recorded nine tackles and one tackle for loss.
Kiser suffered a groin injury during Thursday's game against the Browns.
