ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have added to their tight end room as training camp rolls on.
Denver signed tight end Hunter Kampmoyer, the team announced Friday.
The Broncos waived undrafted rookie defensive tackle Brandon Matterson in a corresponding roster move.
An Oregon alum, Kampmoyer has appeared in two career regular-season games. He originally signed with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2021 and appeared in one game as a rookie. He played in another contest in 2023 for Los Angeles.
For much of the last three seasons, Kampmoyer competed on the Chargers' practice squad. In preseason action since 2021, Kampmoyer recorded nine catches for 85 yards and a touchdown.
The 6-foot-4, 243-pound Kampmoyer caught 20 passes for 224 yards and four touchdowns in 45 career games at Oregon.
