ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Ahead of Denver's Week 9 game against the Cowboys, the team has activated cornerback Mike Ford from injured reserve and elevated three players from the practice squad.

Ford, who had been on injured reserve with a knee injury since Oct. 16, was designated for return earlier this week and was able to practice with the team. In his five games for the Broncos, he had been a key special-teams contributor. Despite missing the last three games, Ford is tied for the most special-teams tackles on the team. Ford can also provide additional depth at cornerback with Bryce Callahan's placement on IR this week.

With Ford's return, the Broncos now have 50 players on the active roster. The team has three open spots following the Callahan move, the trades of Von Miller and Kary Vincent Jr. and the placement of Noah Fant and Netane Muti on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

With Fant and Muti unavailable, the team was able to elevate defensive end Jonathan Harris and guard Austin Schlottmann to the active roster just for Sunday's game as COVID-19 Replacements.

Denver also elevated inside linebacker Barrington Wade to the active roster with a standard elevation.
