DENVER — The Broncos will be without one of their starting safeties for Sunday's matchup with the Falcons.
Safety Brandon Jones is inactive for the game, the team announced 90 minutes before kickoff.
Jones was limited in all three days of practice ahead of Week 11 with an abdominal injury. The veteran player was listed as questionable for the game.
The Texas product appeared in the Broncos' first 10 games of the season and has notched an interception, 74 tackles, two tackles for loss, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and three passes defensed.
With Jones inactive, the Broncos have three safeties active for the game: P.J. Locke, Devon Key and JL Skinner. Defensive back Keidron Smith was also elevated for the game.
