ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — A former Broncos running back and Wisconsin alum is set to announce Denver's first Day 2 pick.

Montee Ball, whom the Broncos drafted in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft out of Wisconsin, is slated to make the announcement at the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Ball is expected to be one of 13 former Wisconsin players to announce picks on Day 2.

The Broncos' first Day 2 pick is currently slated to be the 51st-overall pick, which falls in the second round.

Denver is scheduled to make a pair of Day 2 picks, as the Broncos also hold the 85th-overall selection.

Recently selected to the College Football Hall of Fame, Ball was a two-time consensus first-team All-American and 2012 Doak Walker Award winner as the nation's best running back. Ball tied Hall of Famer Barry Sanders' NCAA record in 2011 with 39 total touchdowns in a season, and he set NCAA career marks in touchdowns (83) and rushing touchdowns (77). Ball, who helped the Badgers to three consecutive Rose Bowl appearances, ranks second in rushing yards in Wisconsin history. Ball played a pair of seasons in Denver after joining the Broncos.

The Broncos previously announced that Make-A-Wish recipient Samuel Barrett will announce the team's first-round selection.

The 2025 NFL Draft is scheduled for Thursday, April 24 through Saturday, April 26.
