ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The announcement of the Broncos' 2025 first-round pick will be meaningful in more ways than one.
As the world meets the newest Bronco, Samuel Barrett will have a wish come true.
In partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Broncos and the NFL will welcome Barrett to announce Denver's first-round selection at the 2025 NFL Draft.
Barrett, 17, is a dedicated Broncos fan and has battled a brain tumor since 2018. He has undergone years of treatment and will soon get to live out a dream as he takes the stage in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
The Broncos recently surprised Barrett with the news via a Mile High Collection locker that included a letter from General Manager George Paton inviting him to the draft, a full-size helmet, jersey and more.
Denver has welcomed Make-A-Wish recipients to announce the team's selection during previous NFL Drafts, including in 2018.
In prior years, the NFL has also welcomed NFL Legends and other special guests to announce additional selections. In 2024, the Broncos welcomed former tight end Tony Scheffler to announce a third-round pick, while several special guests announced Day 3 selections.
Additional guest announcers for the 2025 NFL Draft have not yet been announced.
