For the second consecutive year, the Walton-Penner Family Ownership Group ranked among the top five ownership groups in the NFL by an NFL Players Association survey.

The Walton-Penner Family Ownership Group moved up a spot to No. 4 in this year’s ranking and received an "A" grade.

The 2023 edition of the survey did not include grades on ownership groups.

"When asked what the best thing about the team is, the players' most consistent response is their perception of [fairly new] ownership," the survey results read. "Since buying the team in 2022, the Walton-Penner Family Ownership Group has consistently shown a willingness to invest in the players' experience."

The Broncos also ranked in the top 10 in the NFL in food/dining area (10th), nutritionist/dietician (sixth) and team travel (sixth). Denver received a "B" grade or higher in eight of 11 categories.

Denver is already poised to address concerns raised in the survey — such as the size of the locker room — with the construction of a state-of-the-art practice facility. The new Broncos Park Powered by CommonSpirit is on schedule and set to open in 2026, and it will feature significant upgrades in the size of the locker room and other player-used spaces. The Broncos also responded to player feedback in previous iterations of the NFLPA survey by building a family room at Empower Field at Mile High during the 2024 offseason.
