ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — After a four-touchdown performance against the Chiefs, quarterback Bo Nix has been voted a FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week for Week 18, the NFL announced Wednesday.
Nix completed 26-of-29 passes for 321 yards, four touchdowns and a 152.4 passer rating in the playoff-clinching victory.
Detroit's Jahmyr Gibbs also earned FedEx Air & Ground honors for Week 18.
With his Week 18 performance, Nix became the first rookie quarterback in NFL history to record multiple games with at least 300 passing yards, four passing touchdowns and a passer rating of at least 140. He also now holds the rookie record for the most games with 200 passing yards, two passing touchdowns and no interceptions.
Nix's 18 consecutive completions to start the Week 18 game set both franchise and NFL rookie records, and Nix also passed Baker Mayfield for the second-most passing touchdowns by a rookie in NFL history on Sunday.
This marks the second time this season that Nix has been voted a FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week, as he also earned the honor following a Week 11 victory over the Falcons.
Earlier Wednesday, Nix earned AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season.
