Withvoting for the 2019 Pro Bowl underway, it's our job to make sure Broncos fans are as well informed as possible before they do their civic NFL duty. So, to provide valuable perspective for the outstanding seasons some of the Broncos' top players are putting forward this year, we asked their teammates why they should make it, beginning with the case for Joe Jones to make the Pro Bowl.
"Joe's a special player. He can run like not a lot of linebackers can run, and he does a lot of different things on special teams for us. He plays inside at guard and makes a bunch of tackles, and he plays the 2 [position] a lot on kickoff, and you usually see DBs going out and doing that. And not only that — Joe works his butt off, so he definitely deserves it. He's one of the core guys and he's a spark for our team, so if anyone deserves to get a Pro Bowl vote for being a special-teamer, it's Joe Jones." - long snapper Casey Kreiter
"Joe's the man. He is. I ain't never seen nobody work as hard as he has on special teams. Special teams is the hardest thing on the field, because you have to make plays, and it's all over the place. And Joe makes that stuff look so easy. It's like, Damn. You kind of wish you could do it, too. You go down there and you see Joe get the tackle. It's not like he's just beating [guys] one-on-one; he's throwing two or three people off him. He's doing the right things. You have a great special teams coach, he listens to him and it's about want. It's about will, and Joe has a lot of will. He deserves to be there. He's quiet, he has his little kids, his baby girls, and he takes care of them and he loves his family. And it's a family of football for him. So he definitely needs to be in the Pro Bowl." - running back Phillip Lindsay
"Joe is playing his tail off. I think Joe is a good young player. I love all of our good, young linebackers that we have. The young players, got some great DBs, they're all doing a great job. But I think he's very worthy of it. He's put it out there on the field and when you turn the video on, '43' plays hard." - Special Teams Coordinator Tom McMahon
