The Lead
Fueled by rookie quarterback Bo Nix's strongest performance of the season and two key interceptions, the Broncos earned an important fifth win on Sunday.
Denver scored 28 unanswered points to secure the victory, and Nix set career highs in several categories including completions (28) and completion percentage (75.7).
NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger broke down three of those completions on X, noting that Nix "is coming off the best game he's played."
Baldinger praised the footwork and mechanics of Nix on his touchdown pass to tight end Adam Trautman, also noting the impressive nature of the one-handed catch.
"He puts it right on Trautman," Baldinger said. "Touchdown, great catch."
Baldinger also highlighted Nix's decision-making on a completion over the middle to wide receiver Courtland Sutton, as well as a sideline connection with wide receiver Devaughn Vele.
"Some nice throws from Bo Nix," Baldinger said. "Nice mechanics. [He's] getting better. [I] like the improvement."
Defensively, Baldinger was impressed with McMillian's fourth-quarter interception that gave the Broncos their second takeaway of the day. Baldinger praised McMillian's athleticism on the play and called it "one of the most amazing catches."
"He completely turns his back in the air," Baldinger said. "... He squeezes the ball in right there, and takes it away. Playing blind, but playing the ball in the air to save time. ... That's a great play by Ja'Quan McMillian."
