The Lead

Following career-best performances this season, two of the Broncos' top playmakers have earned another league-wide honor.

Punt returner Marvin Mims Jr. and cornerback Pat Surtain II were named to The Sporting News 2024 All-Pro Team, it was announced Thursday.

The Sporting News All-Pro team is chosen by NFL coaches and players, and Mims and Surtain earned the nod as the best of the best at their respective positions this season.

Mims — who was named a Pro Bowler and 2024 AP first-team All-Pro — earned the honor after leading the NFL in punt-return yardage (15.7 yards per return) in 2024. Mims contributed several game-altering returns throughout the season, and his career-high 97 punt return yards against Indianapolis in Week 15 earned him AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors.

Surtain — a finalist for AP Defensive Player of the Year — earned the honor after posting his fourth consecutive season with at least 10 passes defensed. The 2024 Pro Bowler and AP first-team All-Pro provided lockdown coverage against talented offensive playmakers all season. Surtain also made several game-changing plays, including four interceptions which matched his previous career high.
