Ahead of the selection of the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2025, ESPN's Adam Schefter welcomed Broncos Ring of Fame coach Mike Shanahan to “The Adam Schefter Podcast” to reflect on some of his most impressive career accomplishments.

Schefter presented Shanahan with a variety of stats that sum up a Hall of Fame-worthy career, including Shanahan being responsible for two of the first six offenses in NFL history to eclipse the 500-point mark.

Shanahan also coached three players to a total of four NFL MVP awards, is tied for the 14th-most wins in NFL history and set an NFL record for the most wins in a three-year period.

Schefter shared that Shanahan accrued a 22-17 record against coaches currently in the Hall of Fame, and he is one of two coaches with a winning record against Bill Belichick (5-4).

"We could go on and on about all the reasons that you belong, in my mind, in the Pro Football Hall of Fame," Schefter said.

Shahanan, who also went into detail about his impressive coaching tree, gave credit to those he worked with for the success he was able accrue.

"That just means I've been around a lot of great players and a lot of great coaches," Shanahan said. "I've been pretty fortunate."

In a nearly 20-minute interview, Shanahan and Schefter touched on a wide variety of topics, but Schefter ended the conversation with a clear message about Shanahan's case of enshrinement in Canton.

"I do know, having been a voter for four or five years in the past, that if I were in that room, you would have my undivided support," Schefter said. "And I certainly hope there are enough other people that also feel that way. Again, when you have the records that you do, the marks that you set, the championships that you have, the MVPs you coached and the coaching tree you produced, this should be, to me, if you don't mind me saying, a no-brainer."
