The Broncos' Week 3 win has led to a conference honor.

Kicker Wil Lutz was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week following his performance against the Buccaneers, the NFL announced Wednesday.

Lutz connected on all four of his field-goal attempts and both extra-point tries in a 26-7 win over Tampa Bay.

Lutz is the first Broncos player to win AFC Special Teams Player of the Week since PR/KR Marvin Mims Jr. earned the honor after a Week 10 performance last season in Buffalo. Lutz is the first Denver kicker to earn the accolade since Brandon McManus in 2021.

Lutz has earned Player of the Week honors five times in his career, and this marks the second time he has won conference honors with Denver. He also was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for November of 2023.

His initial field goal came on a 43-yarder early in the second quarter to push the Broncos' lead to 17-0, and he tacked on a 38-yarder with two seconds left in the first half to respond to a Tampa Bay touchdown.

In the second half, Lutz added two more field goals — from 33 and 43 yards, respectively — to keep Tampa Bay at bay.

Since the start of 2023, Lutz has posted four games with at least four field goals, which is tied for the second-most such performances in the NFL during that time.

Lutz is 9-of-9 on field-goal attempts to start the season.
