Williams recorded 81 yards from scrimmage against the Bengals in Week 15 with 72 yards on the ground and 9 yards through the air. It was his fourth straight game with at least 80 scrimmage yards.
Through 15 weeks (excluding Tuesday's games), Williams ranks second in rushing yards (815) among rookies and first in yards per rushing attempt (4.79) among rookie running backs with at least 50 carries. He also is second among rookies in yards from scrimmage (1,103), behind only Steelers running back Najee Harris (1,296), who has 103 more touches on the season.
Among all NFL running backs, he ranks ninth in rushing yards.
Williams has come on particularly strong as of late. Since Denver's Week 11 bye week, Williams leads the league in yards from scrimmage (453) and ranks fourth in the NFL in rushing yards (301).
The other Week 15 nominees are Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, Texans QB Davis Mills, Jets CB Brandin Echols, Chiefs LB Nick Bolton and Falcons TE Kyle Pitts.
Williams lone Rookie of the Week win came after Denver's Week 9 win over the Cowboys, as he recorded his first 100-yard rushing game of his career.
