Williams, who won the award in Week 9 after his performance against the Cowboys, posted the first multi-touchdown game of his career in a win over the Lions.

Williams carried the ball 15 times for 73 yards and a touchdown, and he added one catch for 10 yards and a touchdown.

The physical runner's 83 total yards pushed him over 1,000 scrimmage yards for the season. Williams has the ninth most scrimmage yards by a Broncos rookie, and he could push his way into the top five in that category with a strong finish to the season.

Williams was also nominated following performances against the Chargers and the Chiefs. He has been among the NFL's nominees in each of the last three weeks since Denver's bye week.

The Broncos' young star will face stiff competition this week, as Dallas' Micah Parsons, Pittsburgh's Najee Harris and Cincinnati's Ja'Marr Chase are among the nominees. Parsons had two sacks and a forced fumble, while Harris and Chase also had two touchdowns apiece.

Williams joins Pat Surtain II as Denver rookies to win the award this season.
