WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — Safety JL Skinner is the lone Broncos player who did not practice Wednesday as Denver began its preparation for Week 4 against the New York Jets.

Skinner (ankle) also did not practice ahead of Week 3 and was ruled out.

Tight end Nate Adkins (shoulder) and wide receiver Josh Reynolds (Achilles) were limited participants.

Head Coach Sean Payton announced earlier Wednesday that the Broncos are placing inside linebacker Alex Singleton on injured reserve with a season-ending knee injury.

Payton also said outside linebacker Baron Browning, who was placed on injured reserve on Saturday, is expected to return this season.

The Broncos will announce another set of practice statuses on Thursday before releasing game statuses on Friday.

Denver is set to kick off against the New York Jets at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
