ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Safety Brandon Jones is expected to miss one to two weeks of practice with a hamstring injury, Head Coach Sean Payton announced Saturday.
Jones suffered the injury early in Friday's practice and left the session. After practice on Friday, Payton said Jones had "tweaked" his hamstring.
"We're just going to be smart with his recovery," Payton said Saturday. "He's someone that he'll attack the rehab real quick. I think two weeks would be realistic."
As Jones heals from his injury, Denver saw safety Caden Sterns head back to the practice field. Payton confirmed after practice that Sterns had passed his physical, which will allow him to be removed from the Physically Unable to Perform list.
"Now we have to be real smart," Payton said of Sterns. "It'll be a process."
Outside linebacker Nik Bonitto also returned to practice Saturday, as all players on the active roster outside of Jones participated in the session.
