ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Von Miller did not participate in Saturday's joint practice against the 49ers, but Head Coach Vic Fangio assured media that the seven-time Pro Bowler is "OK."
"He's made every practice we've had since OTAs, I believe," Fangio said after practice, "and [I] just decided to give him a day off."
Miller said he expects to play on Monday against San Francisco.
"Just a rest day," Miller said. "Everybody in camp gets one. Today was mine."
Safety Dymonte Thomas, cornerback Horace Richardson and running back Khalfani Muhammad also did not participate.
Fangio said Thomas "had a funeral to go to," while Richardson is combatting a "lingering" back issue.
"[He] tried it yesterday," Fangio said. "Still not ready."
Fangio did not specify the nature of Muhammad's injury but said he doesn't think it is anything serious.
Su'a Cravens (illness), Malik Reed (side) and Will Parks (hamstring) also did not practice. All three players missed Friday's practice. Theo Riddick (shoulder), Andy Janovich (pectoral), Todd Davis (calf) and Joe Jones (upper arm) remain out with longer-term injuries.
