DENVER — Empower Field at Mile High has earned USA TODAY's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards in the "Best NFL Stadium" and "Best NFL Stadium Food" categories, it was announced.
Empower Field at Mile High landed in the Top 5 in each category, placing third in "Best NFL Stadium" and fifth in "Best NFL Stadium Food."
Nominations were curated by a panel of experts and USA TODAY 10Best editors and then voted on by the public.
Empower Field at Mile High boasts a seating capacity of 76,125 and spans 1.7 million square feet, ranking it among one of the largest stadiums in the National Football League. Home to the Denver Broncos, the football club has sold out every home game since 1970, the longest sellout streak for an NFL team in a single city.
The venue is home to beloved game-day traditions like "Rocky Mountain Thunder," Miles the Mascot, Thunder (the team's live mascot) and Thunderstorm (a skydiving team).
Over the last two seasons, more than $100 million in upgrades and improvements have been made to the stadium including renovations to videoboards, premium hospitality areas, technology, concessions, elevators and the Broncos Team Store. Empower Field at Mile High also introduced the Stadium Artist Series presented by ARTA Tequila in 2023, celebrating local art in Broncos Country. Murals and various artworks can be seen across stadium concourses and corridors.
Aramark Sports + Entertainment, Empower Field at Mile High's food and beverage provider, introduced 12 restaurants and 10 new specialty items this season. In addition to local cuisine featured in-stadium, Empower Field at Mile High also boasts nine autonomous checkout markets, mobile ordering and cashless payments.
