The Broncos will travel to Kansas City to face the Chiefs at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2024 at 11 a.m. MT.
MATCHUP
The Broncos will travel to Kansas City for their second of two consecutive AFC road matchups. Denver will look to get back in the win column as the team faces a divisional rival and the last remaining unbeaten team in the league.
Denver's defense, which currently ranks third in the league in points allowed per game (17.9), should aim for another strong performance on Sunday. Tied for the second most sacks in the NFL this season (31), the Broncos' defense will aim to pressure quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The outside linebacker duo of Nik Bonitto and Jonathon Cooper, who lead the team with a combined 11.5 sacks, could look to add to their tallies on Sunday. Denver's secondary, led by cornerbacks Pat Surtain II and Riley Moss, could look to slow down several offensive weapons including wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who was added ahead of Week 8 and recorded two receiving touchdowns in Week 9.
Offensively, the Broncos will face a challenging Chiefs defense as they aim for a rebound performance. Quarterback Bo Nix, who has now recorded the most passing yards by a rookie quarterback in franchise history, should aim for a strong performance in Week 10. Nix could look to distribute the ball to playmakers such as wide receiver Courtland Sutton, who is coming off two consecutive games with 100 receiving yards for the first time in his career. The Broncos could also look to find success on the ground in Week 10, and running backs Javonte Williams, Jaleel McLaughlin and Audric Estime could play a key role in this effort.
INJURY UPDATE
The Broncos ruled out safety Delarrin Turner-Yell (knee) and linebacker Drew Sanders (Achilles), who both remain on the Physically Unable to Perform List. Center Luke Wattenberg (ankle) was listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup, while defensive tackle D.J. Jones (knee), defensive end Zach Allen (not injury related — rest), safety P.J. Locke (thumb) and tackle Mike McGlinchey (knee) were not assigned game statuses.
For Kansas City, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring) was ruled out, while defensive tackle Tershawn Wharton (knee) was listed as questionable.
