ENGLEWOOD, Colo. —With the 156th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Broncos selected Wisconsin tight end Troy Fumagalli.
The Broncos were scheduled to make the 149th pick, but they traded the pick to the Seahawks to acquire the 156th pick and a seventh-round pick (226).
Fumagalli becomes the third Broncos draft pick who worked with the Broncos' coaching staff at the Senior Bowl. His new position coach, Geep Chryst, is the brother of his head coach at Wisconsin, Paul Chryst.
The 6-foot-6, 248-pound tight end caught 46 passes for 547 yards and four touchdowns as a senior in Wisconsin's run-first offense. Fumagalli averaged 12.1 yards per reception during his career.
The Seahawks used pick No. 149 on Texas punter Michael Dickson.
