ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have retained a potential key member of their secondary.
Denver has re-signed cornerback De'Vante Bausby to a one-year deal, the team announced Friday.
Bausby, who is entering his fourth year in the NFL, started two games for the Broncos and appeared in five for Denver in 2019. He recorded 13 tackles and three passes defensed during his limited action.
Bausby suffered a cervical sprain in the Broncos' Week 5 win over the Chargers, and Denver placed him on injured reserve in the following days.
Head Coach Vic Fangio said at the 2020 NFL Combine that Bausby was again fully healthy.
The 27-year-old from Pittsburg State has appeared in 15 career games and made three starts.
He joins A.J. Bouye, Bryce Callahan, Alijah Holder, Isaac Yiadom and Duke Dawson Jr. as cornerbacks on the Broncos' roster who are currently under contract for the 2020 season.
