Injury Updates: Veldheer, McGovern, Stewart injured in #LACvsDEN

DENVER — Tim Patrick left the game with a knee injury midway through the second quarter. His return is questionable, the team announced.

Patrick reeled in a 14-yard catch against the Chargers with about four-and-a-half minutes before halftime. After being tackled, he remained on the field as members of the training staff tended to him. He then walked off the field under his own power, though with a noticeable limp, and received further examination on the bench.

River Cracraft replaced Patrick on offense and recorded a 44-yard catch.

UPDATE (3:42 p.m. MT): Patrick returned to the field.

UPDATE (4:13 p.m. MT): Garett Bolles limped off the field after a third down on the Broncos' first drive of the third quarter. He was examined by trainers on the sideline and appeared to have his ankle taped. He then stood from the bench and seemed to move around on the sideline without limitations. He later returned to the game.

UPDATE (4:41 p.m. MT): Jared Veldheer walked off the field under his own power attended by trainers after a third-down play at the end of the third quarter. Members of the training staff continued to consult with Veldheer on the sideline after the offensive series.

UPDATE: (4:45 p.m. MT): The Broncos announced Veldheer has a rib-cage injury and is questionable to return.

After the injury, the Broncos moved Connor McGovern from center to left guard and Billy Turner from left guard to right tackle to replace Veldheer. Gino Gradkowski replaced McGovern at center.

UPDATE: (5:47 p.m. MT): In his postgame press conference, Head Coach Vance Joseph said that in addition to Veldheer's injury, the Broncos also had two late-game injuries that ruled out guard Connor McGovern (ankle) and safety Darian Stewart (shoulder). Joseph said Stewart suffered a stinger.
