DENVER — The Broncos' opponents for the 2017-18 season were finalized Sunday afternoon as the early slate of games came to a conclusion.
In addition to its normal six divisional games, Denver will play each team in the NFC East and AFC East. The Broncos will also play the third-place teams in the AFC North and AFC South.
The Cincinnati Bengals were already locked into the third spot in the AFC North prior to Sunday's game. The Broncos will host the Bengals on a date that will be announced in several months. Denver beat Cincinnati 29-17 in late September during quarterback Trevor Siemian's first career road start. Siemian threw four touchdowns during the contest.
In AFC South action, the Colts beat the Jaguars to finish 8-8, but the Titans finished 9-7 after a win Texans. Those results ensure a trip to Indianapolis for Denver. The Broncos beat the Colts 34-20 in the second game of the year.
The Broncos will host the Patriots again in 2017, marking the fourth-straight game between New England and Denver that will be played in the Mile High City.
Both New York teams will travel to Denver in 2017. The Broncos last played the Giants in September 2015, when they came away with a 41-23 win at MetLife Stadium. A year later, the Broncos went back to MetLife for a date with the Jets; the Broncos won 31-17.
Denver will also host the NFC's No. 1-overall seed, the Dallas Cowboys. The Broncos' last matchup with Dallas was a back-and-forth affair that the Broncos won 51-48 in 2013.
For its road slate, the Broncos will travel to Miami for the first time since a November 2014 game in Denver that the Broncos won 39-36. They'll also visit Buffalo for a contest against the Bills, whom they last played in 2014. The Broncos won that game 24-17 in Denver.
In the Broncos' road games against the NFC East, they'll travel to Washington for the first time since 2009. Denver beat the Redskins 45-21 in their last meeting. The Broncos will also play the Eagles on the road. Their last game, a 2013 contest, resulted in a 52-20 Broncos win.
