Phillip Lindsay misses most of Broncos' stadium practice, Bryce Callahan exits early

DENVER — Head Coach Vic Fangio isn't likely to visit a chiropractor any time soon.

Running back Phillip Lindsay was in uniform but missed nearly all of Saturday's practice at Broncos Stadium at Mile High after a recent visit to see one of the specialists.

"Phillip was getting a chiropractic treatment and the guy overdid it," Fangio said. "So, to hell with chiropractors. Let's just play football."

Cornerback Bryce Callahan exited the practice early after a teammate stepped on his left foot, which he broke last year in Week 14 with the Bears.

"He got stepped on early in practice," Fangio said. "Same foot that he had injured last year. Everything's negative — the X-rays. I think he'll be fine."

Tackle Ja'Wuan James (lower-leg bruise) missed his second consecutive practice, but Fangio said he believes he is close to a return to the field.

Von Miller and Emmanuel Sanders were both excused to attend a funeral.

Wide receivers DaeSean Hamilton (hamstring) and River Cracraft (muscles), linebacker Todd Davis (calf), Dekoda Watson (lower leg), tackle Jake Rodgers (calf) and tight ends Jake Butt (knee) and Bug Howard (ankle) also did not practice.

Fangio said Davis is progressing in the right direction.

"He is," Fangio said. "He'll still miss some time, but everything's been good."
