ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos will be without two starters for a Week 16 matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Denver ruled out running back Jaleel McLaughlin (quad) and cornerback Riley Moss (knee) for the prime-time matchup.

McLaughlin, who suffered his injury against the Colts on Sunday, was listed as a nonparticipant on Wednesday. He was estimated as a limited participant on Tuesday. Denver did not practice on Monday and held walkthroughs on Tuesday and Wednesday, which means the practice reports are estimations of the team's participation levels.

Moss was estimated as a limited participant on Tuesday and Wednesday after missing Denver's Week 13 and Week 15 games. Before he was estimated as limited on Tuesday, Moss had not practiced since suffering an injury in Week 12 vs. the Raiders.

Defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers (foot) and defensive tackle D.J. Jones (finger) improved to full participants on Wednesday and were not assigned game statuses, indicating they will be available to play in Thursday's matchup. Franklin-Myers was estimated as a nonparticipant on Monday and Tuesday, while Jones was estimated as a nonparticipant on Monday and a limited participant on Tuesday.

Cornerback Pat Surtain II (ankle) was estimated as a full participant for the third consecutive day and was not assigned a game status.

The Broncos are set to face the Chargers at 6:15 p.m. MT on "Thursday Night Football" on Prime Video.
