The Broncos will host the Cleveland Browns at Empower Field at Mile High on Monday, Dec. 2, 2024 at 6:15 p.m. MT.
MATCHUP
The Broncos will host the Cleveland Browns for a "Monday Night Football" prime-time matchup in Week 13. Denver will look to extend its two-game win streak before the team's Week 14 bye.
The Broncos will look for another strong offensive performance on Monday after a strong second-half outing in Week 12. Rookie quarterback Bo Nix, who earned NFL Rookie of the Week for the third consecutive week, will look to continue his impressive play on Monday. In Week 12, Nix completed 25-of-42 passes for 273 yards, two touchdowns and a 94.6 passer rating, connecting with wide receiver Courtland Sutton for both scores. Sutton now leads the NFL with 467 receiving yards since Week 8, and he could look for another strong performance on Monday as he aims to continue his five-game streak of recording 70-plus receiving yards. Nix could also look to rookie wide receiver Devaughn Vele, who recorded a career-high 80 receiving yards against the Raiders.
Denver's defense — which leads the league in sacks (44) and yards allowed per play (4.7) — will look to continue its strong play in a matchup with a Browns' offense that ranked 32nd in the league in yards per play (4.5) and sacks allowed (47) entering Week 13. Outside linebacker Nik Bonitto recorded his 10th sack of the season in Week 12 to become the first Broncos player since 2018 to reach double digits. Bonitto could look for another strong performance on Monday as he aims to pressure quarterback Jameis Winston, who has averaged 295.8 passing yards per game — which ranks second in the league since Week 8 — since becoming Cleveland's starter. Safety Brandon Jones, who recorded his second interception of the season in Week 12, could also aim to make game-changing plays in the prime-time matchup.
INJURY UPDATE
Denver ruled out cornerback Riley Moss (knee), while wide receiver Josh Reynolds (hand) was listed as questionable. Defensive linemen Zach Allen (ankle) and John Franklin-Myers (shoulder), safeties Brandon Jones (abdomen) and P.J. Locke (thumb) and quarterback Bo Nix (back) were not assigned game statuses, indicating they will be available to play in the matchup.
For Cleveland, cornerback Myles Harden (tibia), defensive tackle Sam Kamara (head), wide receiver Cedric Tillman (concussion), safety Juan Thornhill (calf) and tackle Jedrick Wills (knee) were ruled out.
