ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos signed tight end Orson Charles and placed fullback Andy Janovich on injured reserve, the team announced Tuesday.
Charles, a seventh-year player, spent time with the Broncos during the preseason. He signed with the team on Aug. 21 and played in Denver's final two preseason games.
Denver released Charles on Aug. 31 as the team trimmed its roster to the mandated 53-man limit.
Charles has appeared in 49 career games and played 13 regular-season games for Cleveland in 2018. He has recorded 14 career receptions for 185 yards. He has also played fullback during his career.
Charles will wear No. 85.
Janovich suffered an elbow injury on Sunday against the Vikings, and Head Coach Vic Fangio ruled Janovich out for the season on Monday.
