ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos signed tight end/fullback Orson Charles and claimed outside linebacker Dadi Nicolas and lineman Tyler Jones off waivers, the team announced.
Denver waived/injured Aaron Wallace in a corresponding roster move. The Broncos placed CB Horace Richardson and TE Bug Howard on injured reserve earlier Wednesday.
Charles, a seventh-year player, has appeared in 49 career games. The 6-foot-3, 257-pound player has recorded 14 career receptions for 185 yards. He played 13 games for Cleveland in 2018. Charles will wear No. 83.
The Broncos claimed Jones, a 6-foot-3, 306-pound undrafted rookie,from the Jets. He played his collegiate football at NC State, where he earned first-team All-ACC honors each of the last two seasons.
Denver claimed Nicolas, a former sixth-round pick by the Kansas City Chiefs, from the Colts. He has appeared in 11 career games.
