ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have promoted offensive lineman Quinn Bailey from the practice squad to the active roster, the team announced Monday.
The Broncos placed defensive end Adam Gotsis on injured reserve in a corresponding roster move. Gotsis underwent a surgical procedure on his knee ahead of the Broncos' Week 16 game.
After competing with the Broncos during the offseason, Bailey joined the Broncos' practice squad at the beginning of the season.
He could provide depth on the Broncos' offensive line after Elijah Wilkinson suffered an ankle injury that knocked him out of Sunday's game against Detroit.
"[I] don't know if he'll be able to go this week, but it's early," Head Coach Vic Fangio said of Wilkinson on Monday.
Bailey is a 6-foot-6, 323-pound rookie from Arizona State who was named an All-Pac 12 honorable mention following his redshirt senior season.
To fill Bailey's spot on the practice squad, the Broncos signed T Ka'John Armstrong, an undrafted rookie from Eastern Michigan.
