ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have promoted rookie cornerback Alijah Holder from their practice squad to active roster, the team announced Tuesday.
The Broncos placed safety Kareem Jackson on the Reserve/Suspended list in a corresponding roster move.
Holder has spent the entire season on the Broncos' practice squad after competing with the Broncos during the offseason. He recorded seven tackles, an interception and a pass breakup for Denver in the preseason.
He tallied 132 tackles, two interceptions, 28 passes defensed and five forced fumbles in his 37 games at Stanford.
The Broncos also signed safety P.J. Locke and defensive lineman Jay-Tee Tiuli to their practice squad.
Locke spent the offseason with the Pittsburgh Steelers before he was waived ahead of the regular season. He recorded 118 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, three interceptions and four forced fumbles in four years at Texas.
Tiuli joined the Seahawks in May and was also waived before the regular season. The Eastern Washington product was the 2018 Big Sky Defensive Player of the Year.
