ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos placed center Matt Paradis on injured reserve and signed center Gino Gradkowski to the active roster on Monday, the team announced.
Paradis suffered a leg injury during the first half of the Broncos' game against the Texans and underwent surgery last week.
Gradkowski, who spent time in Denver in 2015, will assume Paradis' roster spot.
The Broncos traded a 2016 fourth-round pick to the Ravens in 2015 in exchange for Gradkowski and a 2016 fifth-round pick, which was later used to select Connor McGovern. Paradis, though, assumed the starting center job ahead of the 2015 season and did not miss a snap until Nov. 4 against Houston.
Gradkowski now returns to a familiar city after stints in Atlanta and Carolina.
The sixth-year player last participated in a regular-season game in 2016.
Gradkowski will wear No. 75 in Denver.
