ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Defensive Player of the Year Pat Surtain II is set to be honored again for a standout 2024 season.

The Colorado Sports Hall of Fame has named Surtain as one of its 2024 Professional Athletes of the Year, the organization announced Wednesday.

The Nuggets' Nikola Jokić and Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon will also receive the honor from the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame.

Surtain will be the first Broncos player to receive Pro Athlete of the Year recognition from the CSHOF since Phillip Lindsay in 2018.

The second player in franchise history to win AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year, Surtain was awarded the league's highest defensive accolade at NFL Honors on Feb. 6.

Surtain was also named a first-team All-Pro, among a slew of other accolades.

A team captain, Surtain helped lead the Broncos to their first playoff berth since 2015 as he tied a career high with four interceptions.

Surtain will be honored at the CSHOF's 60th annual banquet on April 9 in Denver.
