Bo Nix nominated for NFL Rookie of the Week award following Week 17

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Following the Broncos' Week 17 game against the Bengals, quarterback Bo Nix has been nominated for NFL Rookie of the Week.

Nix was last nominated for the award in Week 16, and the rookie quarterback has been nominated nine times this season. Nix became the first player in franchise history to earn the honor in three consecutive weeks earlier this season, with his last honor coming in Week 12.

In Denver's loss on Saturday, Nix completed 24-of-31 passes for 219 yards, three touchdowns and a 114.9 passer rating.

Nix led a game-tying touchdown drive with less than 1:30 remaining in regulation to send the game to overtime, and he also threw a 51-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. earlier in the fourth quarter to tie the game.

Washington's Jayden Daniels, Tampa Bay's Bucky Irving, the Los Angeles Chargers' Ladd McConkey, the New York Giants'Malik Nabers and San Francisco's Ricky Pearsall are also nominated for this week's award.
