Nix was also nominated for the award following wins over the Buccaneers and Raiders.

In Denver's prime-time win against New Orleans, Nix completed 16-of-26 passes for 164 yards. He also added 10 rushes for 75 yards, becoming the first rookie quarterback to rush for at least 75 yards in a prime-time game.

At halftime of the Broncos' runaway win, Nix was on pace for a career high in passing yardage. Nix threw the ball just five times in the second half as the Broncos salted away a win via the ground game.

In the Broncos' win vs. New Orleans, Nix was not sacked and did not record a turnover.

With the victory, Nix tied a franchise record for most wins by a rookie quarterback.

During the Broncos' recent stretch in which they've won four of their last five games, Nix has completed 61.9 percent of his passes for 862 yards, five touchdowns and one interception. Nix has not been sacked in three of Denver's last five games.

Nix joins New England's Drake Maye, Buffalo's Keon Coleman, Jacksonville's Brian Thomas Jr., Las Vegas' Brock Bowers and Pittsburgh's Beanie Bishop Jr. as nominees for this week's honor.
