DENVER — **Moments after tangling with tight end Antonio Gates while breaking up a deep pass from Philip Rivers, safety Darian Stewart walked off the field with a grimace, clearly frustrated.
After inspection from the medical staff, Stewart has a hamstring injury and his return is questionable. It is unknown whether itt's the same hamstring as the one he has been rehabbing for weeks.
Stewart, however, has remained on the sideline, as of the beginning of the second quarter.
UPDATE:Stewart was downgraded to out in the third quarter.
