ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Three of the Broncos' top playmakers are headed to the 2025 Pro Bowl Games.

Cornerback Pat Surtain II, outside linebacker Nik Bonitto and return specialist Marvin Mims Jr. have been selected to the Pro Bowl and named starters for the AFC, the NFL announced Thursday.

Surtain has earned Pro Bowl honors for the third consecutive year, while Mims has been named to the Pro Bowl in each of his first two years in the NFL. Bonitto is a first-time Pro Bowl selection.

The Broncos also had a slew of players named as Pro Bowl alternates, including guard Quinn Meinerz (first alternate), long snapper Mitch Fraboni (first alternate), kicker Wil Lutz (third alternate), tackle Garett Bolles (third alternate), fullback Mike Burton (fourth alternate), defensive lineman Zach Allen (fourth alternate), quarterback Bo Nix (fourth alternate) and safety Brandon Jones (fifth alternate).

Surtain is just the fifth Broncos player since the 1970 merger to earn three Pro Bowl nods in his first four seasons. He also owns the fifth-most Pro Bowl selections by a Broncos cornerback, trailing only Champ Bailey, Louis Wright, Aqib Talib and Chris Harris Jr.

The Alabama product was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week following a Week 5 win over the Raiders and AFC Defensive Player of Month for November. Ahead of Week 18, he has tied his career high with four interceptions and also added a 100-yard pick six, 11 passes defensed, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery. According to Next Gen Stats, Surtain has allowed the fewest yards per snap and the lowest passer rating of 120 cornerbacks with at least 25 targets in 2024.

Bonitto leads the Broncos in sacks with 11.5 and became the first Denver defender with at least 10 sacks since Von Miller and Bradley Chubb in 2018. He is the first Broncos outside linebacker to earn a Pro Bowl nod since Chubb in 2020. In addition to his 11.5 sacks, Bonitto has notched a pair of defensive touchdowns, two forced fumbles, 14 tackles for loss and 22 quarterback hits.

Both Surtain and Bonitto finished first in the fan vote portion of the Pro Bowl Games selection process.

Mims, who has now earned Pro Bowl nods as a returner in each of his first two seasons, leads the NFL in punt return average. His 15.7 yard average is nearly a yard more than the next closer qualifying player. Mims and Miller are the only Broncos players since the merger to earn Pro Bowl selections in each of their first two seasons. He received the most fan votes of any AFC returner.

Surtain, Bonitto and Mims were selected via a voting process that included coaches, players and fans. Denver has now had three players selected to the Pro Bowl Games in back-to-back years.

Meinerz finished first among AFC guards in the fan vote, while Allen finished second in the NFL and AFC in the fan vote among defensive tackles.

The Pro Bowl Games are held in Orlando, Florida and feature a variety of competitions leading up to a flag football game between the AFC and NFC on Sunday, Feb. 2 at Camping World Stadium. The Pro Bowl Skills Showdown will take place several days earlier on Thursday, Jan. 30 from 5-6:30 p.m. MT.
