ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — With tight ends Virgil Green and A.J. Derby ruled out of Sunday's game against Kansas City while they continue to progress in the post-concussion protocol, the Broncos promoted practice squad tight end Henry Krieger-Coble to the active roster.

To make room for the rookie tight end, Denver waived quarterback Austin Davis.

Krieger-Coble originally joined the team as a college free agent in May and after being waived during the Broncos' roster cuts after training camp, he re-signed with the team as a practice squad member.

During preseason action, the rookie out of Iowa recorded three receptions for 30 yards. At Iowa, he totaled 42 receptions for 463 yards and four touchdowns.
