ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos claimed defensive back Shakial Taylor off waivers from the Indianapolis Colts on Tuesday, the team announced.
Denver designated defensive back Cyrus Jones as reserve/non-football injury in a corresponding roster move.
Taylor, a rookie out of Kansas, spent time on the Colts' practice squad and active roster. He appeared in five games for Indianapolis after joining their active roster on Oct. 5.
Taylor played his previous two seasons of college football at Kansas after spending time at both South Dakota State and Mesa Community College.
He recorded 33 tackles, three interceptions, seven passes defensed and two forced fumbles in his final season in Lawrence.
