ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos' top defensive pick from the 2024 NFL Draft has been honored for his rookie season.
Outside linebacker Jonah Elliss was named to the Pro Football Writers of America's All-Rookie team as a defensive lineman, the PFWA announced Tuesday.
Elliss, the 76th-overall pick in April's draft, recorded five sacks, 38 tackles, seven tackles for loss, six quarterback hits and two passes defensed across 17 games.
The Utah product tied for third among rookies in sacks and was one of six Broncos to record at least five sacks in 2024.
Elliss is the first Broncos defender to be named to the PFWA All-Rookie team since Pat Surtain II in 2021 and the first Broncos pass rusher to earn the nod since Bradley Chubb in 2018.
