ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The "No Fly Zone" is back.
Aqib Talib, Chris Harris Jr., T.J. Ward, Darian Stewart, Bradley Roby and David Bruton Jr. will return to Empower Field at Mile High on Sunday for Denver's Week 11 game against the Atlanta Falcons.
The Super Bowl 50 champions will lead the Broncos flag plant as part of the pregame festivities leading up to kickoff and will also be recognized in the second quarter as Broncos legends. The dominant defensive group will also be involved in Sunday's Salute to Service halftime relay race.
Talib, Harris, Ward, Stewart, Roby and Bruton were part of Denver's top-ranked pass defense in 2015 that helped lead the Broncos to a third world championship. With a combined 10 Pro Bowl appearances during their Denver tenures, the former players made a slew of key — and often game-winning — plays during the Broncos' championship run in 2015. Talib and Harris also both earned first-team All-Pro selections in Denver.
A year later, with five of the six players back in the fold, the group again allowed the fewest passing yards in the league.
Bruton was drafted by the Broncos in 2009, while Harris made the roster as an undrafted free agent in 2011. Roby was drafted by the Broncos in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft, and Talib and Ward were signed earlier that offseason. Stewart became the final piece of the vaunted group when he arrived in 2015.
The defensive unit that earned national recognition for its playmaking ability will return home Sunday as Denver kicks off at 2:05 p.m. MT.
