CARSON, Calif. — The Broncos will be without four listed starters against the Chargers, as Bryce Callahan, Josey Jewell, Ja'Wuan James and Adam Gotsis are among the team's seven inactive players, but they will regain Kareem Jackson, who is returning after missing the team's Week 4 game against Jacksonville.
Jackson was listed as questionable by Head Coach Vic Fangio on Friday as he recovered from a hamstring injury he sustained in Week 3.
Neither Callahan (foot) nor Jewell (hamstring) practiced during the week. Callahan was previously ruled out of the game by Head Coach Vic Fangio on Friday and Jewell was listed as questionable. Callahan is continuing to recover from a foot injury he suffered in December of 2018 and re-injured during the summer. Jewell originally suffered a hamstring injury in Week 3 against Green Bay. He returned to play the Jaguars but was forced to leave the game when he re-injured it.
James (knee) has made progress in recent weeks and was limited in practice in all three practices this week.
"He's just got to get healthy," Fangio said Friday. "The first week after his injury didn't go as smooth as normal. The swelling kind of persisted so it set back his original recovery time. He just has to get healthy, get confident and feel like he can move around."
