Derek Wolfe, Jared Crick return to practice

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos aren't yet in game-week mode, but the team practiced Monday as its "Monday Night Football" date with the Chargers looms.

During this unofficial bridge from the preseason to regular season, the Broncos saw defensive ends Jared Crick and Derek Wolfe return to individual drills.

Neither players participated heavily during team drills, Head Coach Vance Joseph said after practice.

"They didn't go much [in] team drills, but [individual] drills, they went," Joseph said. "They looked fine, and hopefully we can progress further with those guys on Wednesday."

Joseph said he expects both players to be ready one week from Monday against Los Angeles.

Wide receiver Demaryius Thomas did not practice Monday, as he continues to recover from a groin injury he suffered during the third preseason game.

"He's fine," Joseph said. "It's just precautionary for him. Just more rest and recovery. He'll go Wednesday."

The Broncos will release their first official injury update Thursday.
